Public Administration (IIPA), Paris in 1988-89.

Assistant Secretary and Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of
Foreign Affairs in 1987 and 1990 respectively, looking after
International Organisations and South Asia desks

Secretary/First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh
to the United Nations, New York from July, 1991 to March, 1995.
Looked after economic, environment, peace keeping and legal
issues and covered Second and Sixth Committees of the UNGA. Also
coordinated LDC related issues

Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to FAO, WFP and IFAD in
Rome

Vice-Chair of IFAD Governing Council in 2007. Was Chairman of
the Asian Group in FAO in 2007

Working as the
Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with
concurrent accreditation to Sudan and Ethiopia from August
2008 till date. Also representing Bangladesh at the OIC in
Jeddah as Permanent Representative

Was a delegate
to the UNGA sessions in 1999, 2000 and 2005.
